Located in Brunswick East at the last stop of the 96 tram, AKA Studio is suitable for yoga classes, workshops, seminars, meetings and dance and theatre rehearsals . Weekends are available from 9:30am – late Saturdays and 6:00am – late Sundays. Discounts for whole weekend bookings (and Friday night) apply.

Prices (Please note prices will be increasing slightly for 2025)

$38/hr for weekend daytime bookings (minimum of 3.5 hours). Friday and Saturday evening after 6:30pm is $44/hr for a minimum of 3.5 hours

Weekday 8am till 6pm $32/hr, minimum of 1.5hours (except Friday, minimum half day hire).

Weeknight rates are $38/hr with a minimum hire of 1.5hours.

Rehearsals $17/hr for up to 3 people, $1/hr per extra person. 

Curtains can divide the space and there is one indoor toilet and another outside with a small courtyard at the rear as well. Rear access to bump in gear is available. Two sound systems are available for use: a high quality sound system included in all hire prices or a 1000Watt Mackie Thump PA with 10 channel mixer available for hire at $50 per session.

Yoga hire includes mats and yoga props. The room holds up to 20 practising yogis comfortably. A yoga session booking on a weeknight is set at 90 minutes minimum for a fee of $60.00 for a 6 week booking.

Workshops This quiet secluded room with comfortable heating & air conditioning are complemented by four huge rugs and 40 floor cushions. The kitchen  has a gas stove and electric urn. 25 chairs and 4 trestle tables are available for use also. Rear alley way access to the studio enables easy bump in and out.

Dancers & performers will love the sprung wooden floor. Rehearsals for up to 4 people during weekdays 8:00am-6:00pm are $17 per hour with a minimum of 2 hours hire. Actors most welcome too!

Photography and Video shoots may hire the space at $120 per half day and $220 per full day. A 3.5metre wide white paper roll background is available for use. Use as a location for film shoots is negotiated per project.
